A leading bank in the Guam islands had multiple systems with segregated databases and were unable to pivot to a unified data source to get a full understanding of their customer behavior.

Hyniva’s Solution
Combine each system’s data sources to create a single data warehouse with a fully automated ETL process to create a Customer 360 data profile.
- The team designed and implemented a real-time data warehouse from multiple data sources such as mainframe and flat files. Create analytical reports, fully automated ETL workflows.
- Trigger mechanism with Lambda, Glue, Python PiSpark jobs.
- Multiple systems are currently employed – FIS, Credit Cards, Sales. Customer 360 degree view of the customer, when account opened, when closed, how many accounts, how many transactions etc
Hyniva started off by running a full assessment of all the systems and their associated data streams to construct a long-term data driven solution. Once the analysis was complete, the team decided to leverage AWS’s serverless data integration services that enables smooth discovery, preparation and consolidation of data.
To ensure that the ETL process was fully automated, AWS Lambda was used to initiate Glue and PiSpark jobs to connect to the individual data sources, process the raw data and transform the data into the targeted warehouse. Hyniva was able to help the bank to seamlessly transition to an automated data warehouse that has been designed to be ready for the digital future.
